Pure Joy...

I was thinking tonight about JOY. What is it? How many of us have experienced JOY?

I find that my pets and the kids I work with express JOY so readily. They laugh, giggle, run and jump as if they haven't a care in the world. My black lab, finds joy in the simplest of things. Let me show you...

This is Iris and her friend, Kenny the Corgi - who has never been in the water before...they hit it off immediately and a great game of chase followed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efUHR9A5fGA

Is it because they aren't burdened by the "grown-up" (or human) responsibilities that seem to pile up around us as we get older? Is it because of their innocence and naïveté? Or maybe it is because they are uninhibited - not afraid to wear their hearts on their sleeves - willing to let the world know how they are feeling?

This video just makes me SMILE a big goofy grin and I feel so much better after I watch it. I wish we, as adults, could laugh and giggle so freely and for any reason or no reason at all. Baby laughter heals my soul.

I found this video and thought it might the cutest video I've watched in a while...not sure the Allison Krauss (love her) tune really fit, but the video makes me happy. Gather the kids around the monitor and enjoy this one together.

I work really hard to find JOY in my life and I hope that all of you, dear readers, will work to find and keep JOY in yours.

So - what brings JOY in your life?

As for me, I am off to play in the sprinkler and find someone to play a good game of chase with :)
