Are They Ready for the "Real World"?

Temple Grandin amazes me!

She speaks such truth. I work with youth and young adults with autism and Asperger's Syndrome. Their futures are being shaped by what we teach them today. I am proud to say that the teachers I know who work with our students do an AMAZING job of providing them with "hands on" work experience and "real world" learning. It is my hope that educators, policy makers and families recognize the need for this kind of teaching. We owe it to these kids.

This kind of learning isn't just necessary for students on the Autism Spectrum. It benefits ALL students.
