And a new year begins...

Happy new year, TBA crew!! I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday, and an excellent start to 2011!

Anyone with any big goals, plans, dreams, ambitions, excellent resolutions to share? Do tell!

On New Year's Day, for some reason, I woke up very excited about turning 30 this year. I really have no idea why I was so excited about it, or what the recesses of my mind thinks 30 holds for me, but I was incredibly, incredibly excited.

Things that have kept me occupied over my winter break: I read Bill Bryson's books Notes from a Small Island and A Walk in the Woods, Nick Hornby's Juliet, Naked, and I'm working my way through Nicole Krauss's latest novel Great House. I've been listening to Fanfarlo's album Reservoir a lot, too. I discovered the hilarity of Miranda Hart's show Miranda as well as the very new show Come Fly With Me.

And I'm currently taking bets on how much John Boehner cries when he's acknowledged as Speaker of the House during the State of the Union. My guess? Rivers.
